The Decade to Change
Walk21, the global walking summit, brings together practitioners, academics, planners, politicians and citizens to celebrate the importance of walking and re-imagine a world that is more liveable and sustainable.
This year’s conference theme, The Decade to Change, has never been more pressing, exploring how supporting and encouraging walking can help deliver Sustainable Development Goal commitments by 2030.
Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin), in partnership with the Government of Ireland, is proud to host Walk21 Ireland – the 22nd International Walk21 Conference on Walking and Liveable Communities. Walk21 Ireland is supported by the Government of Ireland’s Department of Transport, Department of Health and Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
Be inspired by global thought leaders and change-makers from across the walking sector.
Walk21 Ireland is a hybrid event – participate in person or online. Programme highlights include the World Cafe on safety, a Youth Forum and much more.
Get outside and explore Ireland through our walkshops, urban laboratories and satellite events hosted across the country.
